New Playground on Harbor Road
Additional place for the kids
to play during your visit
As you turn off Highway 12 onto Harbor Road during your
next visit to Penny
Lane or Sound Mind & Body, you may notice a new children's playground
on the left side of the road (across from the fire station). You may wonder,
as we did, who can use it.
The unattended playground is for everyone to enjoy (locals and visitors),
according to Avon Property Owners Association President Frank Folb. Dare
County contributed $40,000 for equipment and will operate the playground.
APOA donated additional money.
Folb said they hope to provide toilets and other facilities soon.
